Purple Mash

Purple Mash is a fantastic resource which allows to school to teach parts of the curriculum in new and fun ways. This is also an important tool we will be using should children be isolating. Guidance below gives parents an overview of Purple Mash, how to set up access and how to use it with your child(ren). Each class will have a class blog the children can access - this will be a great way to see the work being produced and one of the ways you can communicate with the school.

Doodle Math / Timetables / Spell

The Doodle apps present another way in which teachers will be setting work if there were to be another lockdown. All children have their own login to the Doodle apps - they can be downloaded on any devise and now used through a broweser (Goodle Chrome for instance). These are short activities (10 minutes) set against the childs personal strengths and areas for development and ideally should be used daily. Teachers are able to set specific work against curriculum objectives for the children to access. This can be marked and reviewed on completion by the teachers. There is also a parental login in which you can montior how your child is getting on with a piece of work. Please use the guidance below to familiarise yourself with the software.

Chilli Challenge

Our Chilli Challenge overview presents extra activities for the children to complete during a lock down.

Teachers have designed these tasks to help create a variety of activities for the children to complete. The heat-ometer suggests the difficulty or challenge the homework may offer. You should attempt at least one ‘Extra Hot’ task and 4 other tasks on the sheet. The 'Spicer' the task the bigger the challenge! You are not limited to how many you complete and we would love to see completed challenges. Send them to your class teacher via email.
